“Playing basketball in the summer, that’s where I got better. You go through the season, you see how teams play against you. Either you can’t go left, can’t make the free throws, you can’t hit a jump shot. When you play in the summertime, those are the things that you work on, that’s where you perfect your craft.
The showcase comes when you’re back on the floor in front of people. But when you’re playing in the gym with just your friends in a pickup game, for the love of the game, you try to alleviate some of the weaknessses within your game.”
