Ransom x adidas Originals Valley High – Fall 2010

The Ransom by adidas Collection returns this fall with all-new sophisticated colorways of the Valley High Top. The pairs in this group are constructed with suede and canvas uppers, while being finished off with vulcanized soles. Canvas is seen working on green and cardinal red pairs. These two shoes feature a slightly washed-out look and leather collars. Black and grey suede make up the other two. You’ll be able to purchase a pair next month at Crooked Tongues.

Olympic Retro XII's

You probably weren’t expecting to see the return of the “Olympic” Jordan Retro 7 this year. Unlike a lot of the other big Jordan Retro releases, there wasn’t a whole lot of buzz about this release until recently. Over the last couple weeks, I’ve heard rumblings about an “Olympic” 7 release, but we now have a little visual evidence. However, there’s an added twist to the 2010 version that separates it from its 1992 and 2004 predecessors.

The shoe itself is almost an identical replica of the 2004 Retro. White leather works with metallic silver on the upper. Navy and true red accents fill in the toe, upper ankle, inner liner, and heel. Metallic gold hits branding on the tongue and heel, as well as the metal lace tips. What you may notice is the addition of the Jordan “For The Love Of The Game” logo on the lateral heel. This pair is expected to drop in Japan on August 7th, prior to the World Basketball Festival in New York City.

Cool Grey 11's

The initial release of the “Cool Grey” Air Jordan Retro 11 in 2001 is a date that sticks with sneakerheads who lived through it. The amount of hype surrounding the release, along with the near-riots that occurred at locations carrying the highly sought after shoe made national headlines. Almost exactly a year after the “Space Jam” 11 made its way back to retailers, the grey colorway will make a triumphant return as well. The exact date is December 23rd, and they’re expected to carry a price tag of $175. I would tell you to plan early, but it most likely won’t matter with this release.
