Air Max NM Nomo Spring 2011 Release
For a reason that only Phil Knight and maybe Hideo Nomo himself know, Nike once made Nomo, the one-time All-Star, his own signature shoe. Sort of. Really it was an early hybrid, throwing an upper of Nomo’s choosing, a leather piece with black mesh slots cut into it, onto the Air Griffey Max 1 sole unit. Point being, the Nike Air Max NM Nomo releases again in 2011 and it’s pretty solid. It’ll hit in two colorways, red/black and blue/black.

Retro Jordan I's High Grey x Brown | August Releases
Two pairs of Air Jordan 1 Highs releasing in August are previewed here, each putting together a combination of materials that’s as much the star of the show as the colorway. The brown/burgundy-olive pair features a fantastic mix of smooth brown leather overlays and chocolate suede on the side panel and toebox, along with burgundy accents on olive on the laces, tongue tag and outsole. On the other end of the color spectrum (well, a few spots over anyway) is a three-toned grey AJ1 which again heavily features leather and suede, including perforations on the latter (and actually a bit on the former, too) and a nice contrast finished off with a white outsole, some black around the collar and a couple of red Jumpmans. Both of these could well fly under the radar, but there’s something to be said for premium materials as well as brown-based Jordans.

Nike SB Dunk Hi 'Chrome Ball Incident'
Let’s take one more look at the Nike SB Dunk High “Chrome Ball Incident”—release date rumored for July or August. The shoe’s name is borrowed from its designer, the Chrome Ball Incident skate blog, which in turn is taken from an old Neil Blender cartoon, while the design has some throwback roots, using a colorway inspired by the old Airwalk Enigma line while the scissors embroidered on the ankle pays tribute to the bygone trend of cutting down hightops into mid or low skate shoes.

Louis Vuitton 2010 World Cup Travel Case
Ahead of 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™, which kicks off on 11th June, Louis Vuitton today unveiled the travel case it has created to hold football’s greatest prize, the FIFA World Cup Trophy. Commissioned by FIFA, the special order case, handmade by a single master craftsman in Louis Vuitton’s historic Asnières workshop near Paris, has been meticulously designed to accommodate the celebrated Trophy, which measures 36 cm in height, weighs 6.175 kg and is made of solid 18-carat gold with a base of semi-precious malachite. Covered in Louis Vuitton’s iconic Monogram canvas, the travel case is fitted with the company’s signature brass lock and corners, and has a dark brown lining that complements the Trophy’s rich gold.
Like all Louis Vuitton special orders, the FIFA World Cup Trophy case was made at the company’s original workshop in Asnières, which opened in 1859. The case opens at the front and at the top to allow the Trophy to be removed easily when, at the final on 11th July in Johannesburg, watched by many millions of people across the globe, it will be presented.

Nike Dunk Hi Premium "Rainbow Pack"
Hitting stores around the fall or winter, the Nike Dunk Hi Premium “Rainbow Pack” consists of two Dunks, each with a polyethylene upper, rainbow-gradient midsole and a solid (blue or pink) leather toe cap. While the shoe is named for it’s colorful midsole, the nylon upper may be the most eye-catching part of the look, as it incorporates a woven pattern and has a reflective property about it. And polyethylene being what it is—the stuff from which tarps are made—this is probably the perfect shoe for the wetter winter months.
